My time at in a little store (the Chartreuse Microbus Collective experience)
I joined the Chartreuse Microbus Collective in April—a pop-up art and vintage market tucked behind Café Zing in Porter Square, Cambridge. With three shelves towards the back of the store, I set up shop and hoped shoppers would connect with my art. Every time I got a sale notification on my phone, it gave me the same little spark of joy I usually feel at live markets, knowing someone loved my work enough to take it home.
As the months went by, I refined my display—adding height, decorations, and even a handmade felt sign to make my section feel more inviting. I discovered which pieces resonated most with shoppers, and a few designs quickly stood out as consistent bestsellers.
I wrapped up my run at the shop in September, and it was such a rewarding experience—part experiment, part adventure, and a great way to meet a new audience.
You can still find my work stocked locally at The Brighton Emporium, 406 Western Ave, Brighton, MA.
